Here we present successful surface passivation of halide perovskite nanowires with anodic aluminum oxide templates. The CH3NH3PbBr3/alumina nanowires have charge carrier lifetimes of more than 20 ns and a remarkably low surface recombination velocity of 37.2±20 cm/s. Ease of fabrication and excellent photophysical properties make them a promising candidate for integration in optoelectronic device structures.
