dr. Nikolai Orlov
CV / Biography
Nikolai Orlov obtained his PhD in Materials Science at Lomonosov Moscow State University studying bioceramics in collaboration with TU Clausthal and the Federal Institute of Materials Research and Testing (Berlin, Germany). During his PhD Nikolai worked on novel methods of sintering (flash-sintering, Spark Plasma Sintering), experimental phase diagrams determination, and 3D-printing of bioceramic materials.
Since 2023 Nikolai has been a postdoctoral researcher at AMOLF working on in operando EBSD analysis of perovskites materials stability under optical bias. Also, he develops new approaches in EBSD on beam-sensitive materials optimizing measurement procedures and postprocessing using Computer Vision approaches.
