The American Physical Society (APS) has elected AMOLF group leader Pieter Rein ten Wolde as APS Fellow.

Election to APS Fellowship is limited to no more than half of one percent of the members. Ten Wolde has been elected by his peers and the election can therefore be seen as a recognition of his contributions to physics.
The Fellowship Certificate describes the motivation for the election as follows:
“For elucidating the design principles of biochemical networks using rigorous theory and innovative computational techniques”.
