Title
Contrastive physical learning tutorial
Abstract
In this seminar, we will explore the core ideas that distinguish physical learning from its more familiar computational counterpart. We will discuss how contrastive learning principles emerge in equilibrium\steady state physical systems. We will also compare contrastive learning with traditional Hebbian-style adaptation, highlighting when and why these approaches align and diverge. The session is designed to be pedagogical and accessible, with the goal of building intuition for how learning can arise from the dynamics of physical systems themselves.
