Schmidt: Laser trapping and laser interferometry for high-bandwidth micromechanical probing of biomaterials In: Asia Optical Fiber Communication and Optoelectronic Exposition and Conference, OSA Technical Digest : conference October 30 - November 2, Shanghai, China, Optical Society of America, 2008.

We present techniques based on optical trapping of micron-sized particles as probes and detecting their motion with sub-nanometer accuracy at 100 kHz bandwidth that can measure viscoelastic properties of biomaterials and cells on micrometer scales.
