Infomatter Symposium 2025: Fundamentals of Computing in Matter

Thursday, May 22, 2025 | 9:30-17:30 | AMOLF

Symposium Overview

The power cost of computing is growing much more rapidly than that of energy production. For this reason, entirely new computing paradigms are being developed. The beauty of this rapidly growing field is that similar questions, using related concepts and ideas, are studied in widely different systems, via different approaches. The aim of our one-day symposium is to bring together prime examples of exciting activities in these different systems, from biochemical, to mechanical and optical systems, all focused on alternative forms of computing. We hope that our workshop will foster new interdisciplinary interactions in our field.
